We’re Turning 110

Party Like It’s Our Birthday With $1.10 Special Pricing

Our Story

La Segunda Bakery was established in 1915, when Spanish-born soldier Juan Moré discovered a traditional Cuban bread recipe during his service in the Spanish-American War. Inspired by the flavors and opportunities he encountered in Cuba, he brought his newfound passion to Ybor City, Florida—a bustling Cuban-American hub—where he co-founded three bakeries. La Segunda eventually became his sole venture and a cherished landmark. Today, the bakery remains a proud, family-run business into its fourth generation, known for its authentic Cuban bread, warm community spirit, and creamy café con leche.
